Arkansas Institute for Building Preservation Trades

Program Outline

The program is structured in three cumulative parts that together lead to the AAS degree. Students can complete one, two or all three levels depending on their individual goals.

The Program's emphasis is solidly focused on practical preservation trades education:

  • The degree consists of classes that are 80% AIPBT and 20% General Education.
  • Workshop (lab) time constitutes 68% of the AIBPT total class time.

  • Students may transfer in their general education requirements if they have successfully completed them at another accredited college.

The tuition examples are based on the 15 credit hour minimum that defines full-time status. The Phillips and Arkansas County resident tuition cost is $50 per credit hour. Out-of-district and non-Arkansas students who live in Phillips or Arkansas Counties for six or more months are considered Phillips County residents and qualify for the $50 credit hour rate. Textbook costs are extra and vary by class. Phillips Community College reserves the right to change tuition and fees at any time.
